At this point I would like to apologize to Mr. Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA, for always taking apart and changing his furniture designs.
Dear Mr. Kamprad,
Your business is wonderful and just because I like to saw your furniture into small pieces, this does not mean that I do not have the highest respect for your work. Your IVAR shelving has served me very well for a long time but unfortunately I have to tell you that I have decided to use this beautiful wood now for other projects. I do apologize again.
Now I feel liberated and I’m ready to show you my tutorial for this small corner shelf …
one IVAR-shelf or other wood
First, I measured how big I wanted my corner shelf to be and then I drew these measurements on my IKEA shelf.
Now I sawed the shelf and sanded the edges.
Next, I painted the new shelf white…
…und danach dasselbe mit den Winkeln getan.
Now I only had to screw the brackets to the shelf and attach it (crooked) to the wall.
