This is the final part of my three part feature on various DIY design styles, which I conclude with multicolored images and a “POW” for Pop Art. Pop Art is an art movement that had great influence in the 1960s in Europe and North America. Typical of this style is the frequent depiction of everyday culture (often from television and advertising), a two-dimensional design, as in posters, with the predominant use of primary colors. The best known works of pop art are probably the silkscreens of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein’s comic images.
If you missed the first two parts of this series, you can read them here: “Best of DIY design style: art deco” and “Best of DIY design style: mid century”.
My choice of DIYs is as always a mixture of posts with tutorials and pictures for pure inspiration.
